Getting started
The panel is where your team works ALIAS: the queue of reports, the answers, and the settings of each product. This guide follows what's on its screens. For building ALIAS into a product, see the Integration guide.
Signing in
Open your workspace's address and you're sent straight to your organisation's sign-in, with nothing of the panel shown before. Once signed in, you land on the first part of the panel you may use, usually the queue. Someone signed in with no role at all sees only that they aren't authorised.
Finding your way
The rail on the left has:
| Products | which product you're looking at, or All products. Shown on the queue, users and keys when you work more than one product |
| Desk | Queue (with how many need an answer), Users, Log |
| Admin | General, Keys, Products, People |
| At the bottom | Available for live (if a product offers live conversations), your name and what you may do (such as Every product · admin or Support: Atlas), and Sign out |
You see only what your role allows: someone in support has the desk, an admin has everything. See People and roles.
Press ? anywhere for the keyboard shortcuts. g then a letter goes to a section: q the queue, u users, l the log, g general, k keys, p products.
Your first product
- Admin → Products → Add product. Give it an id (lower case; it can't change later) and a name. Everything else has a default. See Products.
- Admin → Keys → Issue key for it, named after the build or platform it goes in (
web, ios). Copy it: this is the only time it's shown. See Keys. - Hand the key and your workspace's address to whoever builds the product. They add a client (Clients), and the first report lands in your queue.
